Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at The Woodlands Hospital. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and processing them for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collect blood samples from patients using venous and capillary punctures.
  2. Process blood samples for laboratory testing, including centrifugation and labeling.
  3. Maintain accurate records of blood sample collection and processing.
  4. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
  5. Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate test results.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (PHLEB:CA, PHLEB:NV, MAP:WA, or equivalent).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications

A Phlebotomy certificate and 3 months of experience in an acute care facility are preferred.
