This role is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for various education technology systems and infrastructure at Indiana University Bloomington.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the specification, acquisition, and implementation of hardware and software systems to ensure maximum availability and performance.
  • Monitor incident reporting queues, investigate and resolve equipment failures, and diagnose operational problems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures and participate in life cycle replacement of technology equipment.
  • Install, test, and monitor applications software and hardware in computer systems.

Working Conditions/Demands

This role requires the ability to communicate effectively and to operate computers and other related technical equipment. The role is required to maintain and interact with computers and frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This role requires work from ladders and lifts at heights up to 20 feet and in close spaces. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
