Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work closely with students, teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans. You will also design and deliver instruction that meets the diverse needs of students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student, collaborating with the team to ensure effective implementation.
  • Design and deliver instruction that meets the diverse needs of students with disabilities, adapting curriculum materials as needed.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to measure student progress and determine the effectiveness of instructional strategies.
  • Implement positive behavior support strategies to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A master's degree is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience working as a special education teacher in a high school setting is preferred but not required.
  • A valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with an endorsement in special education.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team.
