Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Language Expert to join our team at Pyramid Consulting, Inc. as a Linguist III. This is a contract opportunity with long-term potential, and we are looking for a talented individual to provide linguistic expertise in various areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide linguistic expertise in syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and sociolinguistics to support data collection, data curation, translation, localization, and annotation efforts.
  • Collaborate with other linguists and data operations teams to develop complex and consistent linguistic analyses.
  • Create annotation systems and guidelines to ensure high-quality data sets for Client models.
  • Evaluate and curate data sets to assess model and data quality.
Requirements and Technology Experience
  • Key Skills: SQL, Python, Native Italian Speaker.
  • Must have: Native or near-native fluency in Italian.
  • Education: Master's degree in General Linguistics or Linguistics with an emphasis on Romance languages, Computational Linguistics, Speech Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience.
  • Specific Systems Knowledge: Native Italian Speaker.
