Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Support: Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that align with the daycare's educational philosophy.
- Child Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other activities.
- Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment by assisting with behavior management and promoting cooperation among children.
- Individualized Support: Provide individualized attention to children who may require additional assistance or have special needs, ensuring their integration into the daycare setting.
- Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing updates on a child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Follow and enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring a clean and secure environment for all children.
- Materials Preparation: Assist in preparing and organizing educational materials, supplies, and resources for daily activities.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework in early childhood education is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a daycare or educational setting with young children.
- Skills: Understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Mandarin speaking is a plus.
This is a full-time position with an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday. The work location is in person.
