In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the academic and functional development of students within a school setting. Your expertise will empower students to reach their full potential by addressing their unique needs and challenges.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing abilities, and daily living skills.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's specific goals and requirements.
- Provide direct therapy services, focusing on enhancing students' functional abilities and supporting their educational progress.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and daily routines.
- Monitor and document student progress meticulously, adjusting therapy plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development and review of IEPs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the relevant state.
- Experience working with school-aged children is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a full caseload effectively.
