Behavioral Health Assistant

SOS International LLC is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team in Batavia, NY. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Behavioral Health Provider to provide comprehensive mental health screenings, patient care management, and facilitate basic psycho-educational groups for patients at our government customer facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing direct services to assigned population, including health data collection, observations of behaviors, and wellness checks.
- Prompting as needed with activities of daily living, health education, and patient support.
- Maintain a basic knowledge of behavioral health interventions, including psychotropic medications and awareness of side effects.
- Facilitate basic therapeutic and psycho-education groups, and provide direct individual patient education, care, and treatment.
Requirements:
- American Association of Psychiatric Technicians (AAPT) certification at level three within 12 months of hire.
- Maintains current certification in either the American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS) or the American Red Cross CPR/BLS Course.
- Ability to obtain/maintain required security clearance and pre-employment medical clearance.
- Associate degree in a behavioral science/specialty field and two years of work experience in a mental health clinic or residential healthcare setting.
