Painter II

Maysteel is seeking a skilled Painter II to join our metal coating team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating electrostatic powder coating equipment to apply powder paint to metal products on a conveyorized paint line.

• Operate Coating Equipment: Safely operate electrostatic powder coating equipment, including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems, to apply powder paint to metal products.
• Prepare Parts for Coating: Prepare metal parts for coating by cleaning, degreasing, and drying them to ensure optimal coating results.
• Follow Quality Standards: Comply with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures, and housekeeping standards to ensure high-quality products.
• Collaborate with Team: Work with Painter III and team lead employees to acquire skills required for promotion to Painter III level and to achieve multiple operator skills.

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalency.
• Skills: Basic math and communication skills required.
• Physical Demands: Frequently lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 35 lbs. Stand and/or walk up to 8-10 hours per day.

Work in a manufacturing facility with moderate to high noise levels. Job consists of working with machinery equipment and receiving objects or parts on a conveyor belt.
