Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in our Med Surg department, you will be responsible for providing and coordinating care for patients. You will work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families.

Your daily responsibilities will include assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, and communication of patient needs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient rounding to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Promote customer service initiatives.
  • Utilize the nursing process for individual care to meet the needs of patients.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with a minimum of 1 year of med/surg experience. You must be a graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing and hold current licensure by the KY Board of Nursing or compact licensure. Current BLS certification is also required.

Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.
