Caregiving Specialist

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Caregiving Specialist to join our team at The Harbor at Opelika. As a key member of our caregiving staff, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and assistance to our residents.

About the Job:

• Provide direct care and support to residents with varying levels of need, including those with dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting their independence and dignity.
• Respond to resident calls promptly and provide emotional support and reassurance when needed.
• Collaborate with other caregivers and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
• Maintain accurate records of resident care and services provided, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with elderly or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move residents safely, using proper body mechanics and equipment as needed.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
