We are seeking a highly skilled RN Unit Manager to join our team at Ovid Healthcare Center.

About the Role

This is a leadership position responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing nursing care and health education for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leading and teaching other skilled nursing staff.

In this role, you will be part of an experienced and hard-working team that values communication and strong teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and others.
  • Review and implement all nursing procedures and systems.
  • Assess and evaluate systems facilitating quality guest care and staff performance.
  • Apply a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized care.
  • Contribute to guest assessments (MDS/CAA's) and plan of care development.
  • Evaluate guest responses to interventions.
  • Administer medications and treatments correctly.
Qualifications
  • Current state nursing licensure required.
  • CPR certification and additional certification in a nursing specialty desired.
  • Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
  • Wound care/infection control experience desired.
