The Pilot in Command is tasked with ensuring the safe, legal, and efficient operation of company aircraft.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Pilot in Command is vital in maintaining the safety, legality, and operational efficiency of all flights undertaken by the organization.

  • Reports directly to the Chief Pilot.
  • Serves as the final authority for the safe operation of company aircraft.
  • Handles various responsibilities associated with aircraft operation in accordance with 14 CFR Part 91, including ensuring airworthiness, maintaining necessary documentation and company manuals onboard, performing weight and balance calculations, evaluating weather conditions, managing performance, overseeing fueling operations, coordinating flight locations, conducting briefings, and operating the aircraft within established limitations.
  • Supervises the Second In Command, ensuring that all flight crew members have a clear understanding of their assigned responsibilities.
  • Fosters a safety-oriented culture in alignment with FAA and company standards and actively participates in the organization's Safety Management System.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains required qualifications in accordance with FAA Regulations and company protocols.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor as a key representative of the organization.
  • Ensures compliance with currency requirements and holds a 1st Class Medical as per company standards.
  • Delivers exceptional professionalism and customer service.
  • Collaborates closely with other departments and provides assistance as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Pilot in Command should possess the following qualifications:

  • 3000 hours of total fixed wing flight time.
  • 2000 hours of total PIC fixed wing flight time.
  • Preference for Lear 45 Type Rating.
  • At least 250 hours of Turbine time preferred.
  • A valid Airline Transport Pilot certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Permit.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical certificate.
  • Valid passport.
  • Clean record with no Accidents or Incidents.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to pass various checks including pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and credit check.
  • Proficient in English language.
  • Willingness to relocate within 2 hours of the company’s Base of Operations.
  • Meet all international travel requirements for COVID-19.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Normal working conditions for this role involve exposure to varying climate conditions, air turbulence, time zone changes, altitude variations, changing locations, irregular hours, dry air, jet fuel and exhaust fumes, and noise levels from engines and ground equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Physical requirements of the position include pulling, pushing, kneeling, twisting, climbing, squatting, bending, and lifting of bags and equipment.
