Overview of the Role

Dignity Health's Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC) is a leading non-profit community clinic organization that provides comprehensive primary and specialty care services to patients in California. Our network consists of nearly 50 health centers, primarily located from Templeton to Lompoc, as well as serving the Bakersfield and Ventura communities.

We are proud to be part of Dignity Health's exceptional network of hospitals, which includes Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, French Hospital Medical Center, and Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria. Our hospitals in the Ventura market include St. John's Regional Medical Center and St. John's Hospital Camarillo. In Bakersfield, we have Mercy Hospital - Downtown, Mercy Hospital - Southwest, and Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • As a Psychiatrist, you will join our busy practice in Santa Maria, California, and work with a diverse patient population.
  • You will provide assessment and evaluation of psychiatric illnesses, develop treatment plans and interventions, and manage medications.
  • You will also enter orders for tests, therapies, and other necessary treatments.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $300,000 - $375,000, inclusive of a base guaranteed salary and productivity incentives. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including retirement and paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A CA Medical license is required.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry is preferred.

Additional Information

This is a full-time employment opportunity, although part-time may be considered. You will work Monday through Thursday, 7:30am - 5pm, and Friday, 8am - 12pm. The Crisis Stabilization Unit on campus is managed separately by Vituity.

You will join a team of experienced professionals, including one Psychiatrist, one Physician Assistant, and two Licensed Psychiatric Technicians. EMR software used is Cerner.
