Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather necessary data to ensure budget, schedule, and risk management.
  • Organize and lead aspects of individual projects, including material inventory and financial reconciliations, while performing other necessary support tasks, such as producing project reports and managing action items.
  • Learn the details of different projects to provide guidance and support to project and grant teams on financial matters.
  • Monitor grant funds and expenditures to ensure they are used in accordance with grant agreements and budgets.
  • Collaborate with grant managers and other teams to track project progress.
  • Communicate with employees throughout the company and with vendors daily.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to internal management and external funding agencies.
  • Assist with regular reviews and audits to ensure adherence to grant requirements and financial policies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting or associate's degree with equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and practices, and advanced skills using Excel, Word, and experience with Financial Information Systems.
  • Must understand budgets, forecasts, cash flows, cash commitments, project accounting, billing processes, and administration of construction funds.
  • Strong understanding of grant accounting regulations, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as high-quality customer relation skills with internal and external parties, are needed.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, along with excellent time management skills, are essential.
