Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Siemens Healthineers. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing MRI diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages to assist in the diagnosis of patient illness.

Responsibilities:
  • Performing MRI Examinations: Conduct MRI diagnostic imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions according to department procedures and protocols.
  • Locating and Recording Internal Elements: Locate and record internal elements of the body, and identify any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts, and monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.
  • Test Result Evaluation: Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy, and review tests with peers and physicians.
  • Communication and Reporting: Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested according to department procedures, and distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, log data into patient information systems, and update file systems for tests performed.
  • Cleaning and Sterilization: Clean and sterilize equipment and work space, and recognize equipment malfunctions and readjust equipment or write referrals for repair.
  • Patient Education and Support: Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures, and maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedure.
  • Continuing Education and Training: Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs.
  • Contrast Agent Administration: Administer contrast agents according to site-specific protocols under the guidance and approval of site Radiologist.
  • Permits to Practice: Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed.
  • Equipment Quality Checks: Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshooting problems, and call for service and notify pertinent team members.
  • Confidentiality and Additional Duties: Follow quality assurance guidelines, maintain patient confidentiality, and perform additional duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Clinical Experience: A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Radiographer with MRI clinical experience required.
  • Siemens Equipment Experience: Experience with Siemens equipment required.
  • Valid ARRT License: A valid ARRT license, registered in MRI, is required.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
  • Flexibility and Reliability: The ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner is required.
