The Certified Nursing Assistant plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support services at Our Lady of Lourdes. As a member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, and document information in our electronic medical record system.
- Prepare patients for meals, serve food, and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Transport patients to and from designated areas of the hospital, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Retrieve medications from the pneumatic tube system and deliver them to the nurse, or place them in a secure location as determined by the nurse manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a CNA or Medical Assistant training program.
- Current CNA or Medical Assistant licensure and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
