We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at EMCOR Group. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance services to our commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Complete thorough preventative maintenance checks and services on commercial HVAC systems, including inspection and repair/replacement of belts and pulleys, inspection and cleaning of condensate drain lines, and testing power/performance of compressors, fan motors, and blower motors.
- General Repairs: Perform general repairs of steam/hot water boiler systems, diagnose airflow and ducting repairs, and safely diagnose and repair common mechanical, electrical, or system failure issues on commercial HVAC systems.
- Refrigerant Management: Safely diagnose and repair common refrigerant-related issues on commercial HVAC systems, including leaks and refrigerant recovery.
- Plumbing and Electrical Maintenance: Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including unclogging toilets and drains, repairing leaks, and replacing fixtures as needed. Perform minor electrical maintenance, including repairing or replacing fixtures, wall switches, and outlets.
- Carpentry and Painting: Perform routine painting and carpentry work, including repairing holes in drywall, prepping areas, and matching paint to present a uniform and original appearance.
- Communication and Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with customers, vendors, and team members through effective communication and customer service skills.
- Technology and Data Management: Utilize handheld devices and business systems to complete work orders, access and complete service inspections, and submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or degree/certification in a related field, or equivalent professional experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.
- Technical Skills: 5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Licenses and Certifications: EPA Universal certification, valid driver's license, and any other required certifications or licenses.
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration.
