We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Surgery department at Stony Brook University Hospital. The successful candidate will have a Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program and current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will work closely with trauma surgeons, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically injured patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive assessments of trauma patients, including history taking, physical examinations, and ordering/interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with trauma surgeons, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide advanced clinical care, including wound management, suturing, and other procedures as necessary.
