Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Life Care Centers of America. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering quality care to our patients during the admission and readmission process.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately and safely prepare, administer, store, and document medications as per facility policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing and implementing procedures to assess potential medication errors and prevent them.
  • Report medication errors immediately and ensure that no medication is administered without a written, signed, and dated order from an attending physician.
  • Chart appropriately and in a timely manner, and perform CNA functions as directed by supervisor.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients, and assist in the evacuation of patients as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a State-approved CNA program.
  • Currently registered/licensed in applicable State and must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation, and must remain current during employment.
