About the Opportunity

Covenant Physician Partners is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at The Endoscopy Center in Hilo. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets and rooms patients, ensuring a positive and efficient experience
  • Performs general intake, including vital signs and routine documentation
  • Operates the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, creating appointments, cancelling appointments, and managing fax inboxes
  • Prepares patient electronic charts, verifying ordered labs and imaging as needed
  • Works with monthly office visit recalls and enters information into CoverMyMeds for prescription authorizations
  • Triage patients, taking vital signs, medical history, and supporting MIPS required documentation
  • Prepares rooms for procedures, such as feeding tube changes and hemorrhoidal bandings
  • Cleans and stocks exam rooms
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred
  • Endoscopy experience preferred
  • Familiarity with gMED, Open Access, Recall, and Scheduling patients procedures
