About this role:

The Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) and the Telemetry unit (H303) practices as an expert in the application of the nursing process and theory within a specialty area. This role is responsible for advancing patient care directly in the role of expert clinical practitioner and indirectly in the roles of educator, consultant, researcher, change agent, collaborator, clinical leader, role model, and patient advocate.

Key responsibilities:

  • Apply advanced nursing knowledge and skills to provide high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing required
  • Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Maryland
  • Current designation as an APRN from the Maryland Board of Nursing
  • Three years of full-time experience in the area of specialty
  • Active BLS CPR certification

Salary Range: $53.15 - $82.38 per hour
