Job Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide direct care to infant, child, adolescent, and young adult patients and their families, working in conjunction with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Planning: Participate in the development, maintenance, or modification of the nursing plan of care, incorporating age-specific and culturally diverse concepts.
  • Collaboration: Interact with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Compliance, Safety, and Quality: Maintain organizational and regulatory requirements, adhering to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Diversity: Ensure patients and families feel welcome, safe, valued, and respected, incorporating culturally diverse concepts into patient care.

To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent, novice to competent skills, completion of a practical nursing certificate or vocational nurse program, and licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Experience in pediatric or research facilities is preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
