Front End Mechanic

As a Front End Mechanic at J.G. Boswell Company, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining repairs and preventative maintenance for tomato plant equipment. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, with experience working with heavy equipment.

The ideal candidate will be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment, maintain accurate records, and ensure the integrity and proper operation of all Unloading, Sorting, Flume Systems, Add Back Systems, Finishing, Waste Separation/Conveying, Re-man and Citric Acid Equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair Front End and other Plant equipment
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Ensure the integrity and proper operation of all Unloading, Sorting, Flume Systems, Add Back Systems, Finishing, Waste Separation/Conveying, Re-man and Citric Acid Equipment
• Perform routine "walk-throughs" to ensure the proper operation of all Front End and associated equipment
• Make system add-back and product finisher screen changes under the direction of management
• Ensure conformance to all Plant standard operating procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of maintenance experience preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge and skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Must be able to perform physical activity that requires use of your arms, hands, legs, whole body, such as climbing stairs, walking on uneven surfaces, crouching, bending, lifting and pushing
• Must exhibit regular attendance and punctuality
• Should be bilingual in English and Spanish
• Must have basic computer skills
