Job Summary:
Corning is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Associate to join our team in the production of fluid handling and cell culture products. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient manufacture of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain packout equipment, rotating operation duties in accordance with shift schedule.
- Monitor output quality and quantity, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal production.
- Perform daily housekeeping, waste removal, and end-of-lot line clearance duties.
- Conduct routine monitoring and inspection activities to ensure product specifications are met.
- Complete production records and forms, recording relevant data for quality control purposes.
- Ensure accuracy and good documentation practices in accordance with company and cGMP standards.
- Utilize software and database systems, including PeopleSoft, ETQ, and Apriso.
- Stage raw materials, in-process product, and finished product according to procedure.
- Work with cleaning equipment and chemicals, adhering to safety protocols.
- Relieve other production associates during their absence or break periods, and assist with rotation of duties as required.
- Assemble, package, label, palletize, and stage product according to specifications and procedures.
- Complete electronic inventory transactions, per computer access and training.
- Perform routine testing and inspection functions for each lot.
- Track packed volumes and provide data to shift report as required.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to industrial machinery, moving parts, electrical, and other energy sources.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required, including lab coats, hair/beard covers, gloves, ear protection, eye protection, and head coverings.
- Exposure to fumes and chemicals, such as cleaners, inks, and solvents.
- Exposure to high-frequency noise.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 65 pounds.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 6-12 months of experience within a manufacturing environment.
