Job Summary:

To provide professional medical care to associates, conduct screenings, promote wellness among associates, and perform assigned safety and health functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and schedule wellness activities among associates to foster a healthy work environment.
  • Treat associates for injuries/incidents, assist in trend analysis, and monitor work-related injuries to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular screenings and provide medical care to associates as needed.
  • Participate in the VPP Team Member program and track Management Accountability Program metrics.
  • Communicate with company physicians as necessary, including restriction clarification, after-hours emergencies, and other medical matters.
  • Assist with new hire orientation, conduct daily new hire checks, and administer drug and alcohol tests.
  • Schedule HazMat physicals, administer the RTW program, and maintain medical documentation data entry.
  • Coordinate CPR/First aid training, conduct audiometric testing, and maintain production floor presence weekly.
  • Inventory medical supplies as needed and participate in Health Fairs.
  • Maintain SDS books and participate in Shift Safety meetings to support Safety and Health goals.
Requirements:
  • EMT Certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and working knowledge of medical equipment
  • Clerical and computer skills, including SAP, AS400, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attendance and personnel record, with excellent time management, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated team player with a strong commitment to safety and health
Working Environment:
  • Frequent time in cold and wet industrial environments required
  • May require long periods of time on feet, walking, and standing
  • Must be able to read reports, evaluate data, and use a computer
  • Some long hours and weekend work may be required
Physical Demands:
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision includes close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus, with the ability to distinguish colors
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear
