Biological Specimen Collector Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Biological Specimen Collector Specialist to join our team at Aegis Sciences Corporation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting biological specimens at client sites for scientific testing purposes. This role requires maintaining the integrity of the collection process, recording data for reporting purposes, obtaining initial insurance verification for billing, and packaging specimens for shipment.

• Foster open communication between clients and sales management to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sample collection, ensuring the highest level of quality and confidentiality.
• Ensure the integrity of each 'Chain of Custody' and sample, including sufficient volumes, proper labeling, and sealing.
• Verify sample requisitions are complete and accurate, utilizing Electronic Lab Requisitions (ELR) for submissions.
• Answer client/patient inquiries regarding Aegis policies and provide excellent customer service skills.
• Maintain required compliance training, including HIPAA Training and annual lease agreements as necessary.
• Comply with all applicable safety requirements, including personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
• Manage supplies and budget in conjunction with regional sales managers.
• Verify insurance information through Passport as needed and request payments from patients when applicable.

• A high school diploma or GED is required; experience in the medical field is preferred.
• The ideal candidate must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing quality and confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with basic computer knowledge, are essential for this role.
• A positive attitude and ability to interact with staff at all levels are also required.

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on location and experience.
