We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Delivery and Unloading: Safely operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver and unload food and food-related products to customers.
- Customer Service: Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner to ensure accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries.
- Safety and Compliance: Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks, inspect tractor-truck and trailer to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and report any safety issues or repairs required.
- Logistics and Operations: Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies, and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Commercial Driving Experience: 6 months of commercial driving experience.
- Education: High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent.
- CDL A: Valid CDL A.
- State Licensing and Certification: Meet all state licensing and certification requirements (where applicable).
- Age: Must be 21 years of age.
- Clean MVR: Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
- Post-Offer Drug Test and Background Check: Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
- DOT Health Card: Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
- Physical Demands: Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift.
