About This Role

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify Physician Orders: Ensure accuracy and completeness of physician orders for radiographic procedures.
  • Operate Imaging Equipment: Independently operate radiology equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol.
  • Review Patient Images: Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met.
  • Assist with Departmental Operations: Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
  • Provide Excellent Patient Care: Adapt behavior to meet the specific needs of patients, including respect for privacy and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
  • Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligible for registration within 90 days of employment.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in using computers and software, effective verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
