We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our culinary team at Dekalb Area Retirement Center. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for our residents. If you have a passion for cooking and a strong desire to create delicious and visually appealing dishes, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Cook and present all items on the menu in a timely manner
- Complete assigned prep list, efficiently run your station during the shift, and stock food as needed
- Exercise safety, sanitation, and organizational skills
- Collaborate with all members of the Food & Nutrition Services team

Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age with ServSafe Certification
- Requires one year of professional cooking experience
- Experience in large food quantity preparation in a health care setting is a plus

Schedule consists of working PM hours and weekends. Sign on Bonus of $3000 paid out in three installments of $750 at 3 months, $750 at 6 months, and $1500 at one year of employment.
