Job Summary

As a Computed Tomography Technologist at CHRISTUS Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This position requires a strong foundation in radiology technology and excellent communication skills to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including routine and advanced imaging studies, utilizing state-of-the-art computerized diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and use high-speed, pressurized injection equipment as needed.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
  • Adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interact appropriately with patients and all care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures during the workday, ensuring high-quality patient care and continuity.
  • Rotate within departments and clinics to ensure proper coverage and adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique patient needs.
  • Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams and maintain Infection Control standards.
  • Accurately code and enter charges for exams performed.
  • Perform all duties in a manner that protects patient confidentiality and adheres to CHRISTUS Health's Core values.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required; 3 years of CT experience in a clinical imaging setting preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required; Registered by the ARRT in CT required; Current state licensure required; Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
