Key Responsibilities- Fills prescription items, packages medications for dispensing and delivery, and meets accuracy and productivity standards.
- Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
- Participates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy and checks in drugs and supplies.
- Stocks shelves, removes out-of-date items, and prepares medications, including non-sterile compounding.
- Communicates with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
- Processes returned medications and assists in the training of new employees.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned, including working in the Controlled Drugs Room, operating automated machines, managing inventory, and inputting patient data.
- Montana State Pharmacy Technician License
- High School diploma or equivalent and experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology.
- Ability to operate a computer and recognize and identify medications.
- Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and effective oral communication skills.
