About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Fresenius Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of interventional procedures, working closely with our medical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Assist with the preparation of the procedure room, including inventory of supplies and stocking of equipment.
  • Scrub and Circulating Duties: Perform scrub and circulating duties during interventional procedures, adhering to USV/FMS policies and procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and set up the procedure room, ensuring compliance with FMCNA/USV policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Patient Care: Assist with preparing patients for procedures, positioning, shaving, and prepping, as well as administering medications within the scope of practice and state regulations.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the medical team, patients, and families to ensure seamless care.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and regulatory surveys.
  • Marketing and Sales: Assist with marketing and sales efforts, promoting Fresenius Vascular Care services to dialysis clinics, medical directors, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma required; Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years' related experience; previous patient care experience preferred.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of interventional equipment, procedures, and materials; knowledge of sterile techniques and universal precautions.
