  2. Patient Identification and Verification: Properly identify patients using two identifiers, verify imaging orders, and assess pregnancy risk before proceeding with exams.
  3. Communication and Patient Education: Explain procedures to patients with professionalism and compassion.
  4. IV Cannulation and iStat Testing: Perform IV cannulation and iStat testing as prescribed, adhering to aseptic techniques and state regulations.
  5. Imaging and Exposure Techniques: Position patients for optimal imaging, select appropriate imaging protocols, and adjust exposure techniques as needed.
  6. Contrast Media Administration: Operate power injectors for contrast media administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with department policies.
  7. Radiation Safety and Post-Processing: Demonstrate proficiency in radiation safety practices and operate post-processing workstations effectively.
  8. Exam Critique and Verification: Critique exams for completeness, ensure accurate labeling, and verify exams within the hospital's RIS and PACS systems.
  9. Infection Control and Safety: Follow infection control and safety guidelines, maintain cleanliness of equipment and exam rooms.

Requirements
  • American College of Radiology (ARRT) CT Certification
  • Valid New York State (NYS) Radiological License with Injection
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
