Respiratory Therapist PRN Opportunity

AHS - Sherman Medical Center is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist PRN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Respiratory Therapy procedures according to hospital protocols and policies.
  • Implement patient care plans by performing and documenting all Respiratory interventions.
  • Provide patient and family education on care plan interventions.
  • Report critical observations and changes in condition to the Physician and RN.
  • Respond promptly to code situations and work safely to prevent injury to staff and patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapist care program.
  • Current and valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a RRT or CRT (RRT is preferred).
  • BLS/CPR required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 180 days of hire.
