This is a challenging position for a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join the Army National Guard Units team. As an Aircraft Mechanic (UH-72A), you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and performing overall maintenance within the CAMP and FAA framework, servicing, inspections, and documentation for one or more highly technical, high-performance UH-72A military aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and monitor overall maintenance within the CAMP and FAA framework.
- Service, inspect, and document UH-72A military aircraft.
- Request maintenance services exceeding AASF capabilities or time constraints.
- Maintain UH-72A aircraft under FAA and manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct inspections in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance publications and special inspection criteria.
- Plan, develop, and conduct proficiency training for a multi-faceted workforce.
- Comply with safety, fire, security, environmental, and housekeeping regulations.
- Participate in operational flights as a crewmember.
- Military Grades: E3-E7
- Compatible Military Assignments: 15T
- Applicants need not be assigned to the position or possess the MOS to apply or be considered for selection.
- Selected applicant must be assigned to a compatible Military position and attain MOS within 1 year of appointment action.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- All soldiers, civilian employees, and contractor employees who drive Army-owned or leased vehicles must complete the Army Avoidance Course (AAC) training when they start working for the Army.
- Must have a valid Washington state and military driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain a Government Travel Card (GTC) and be able to attend all schools deemed necessary by the supervisor.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Must maintain membership in the WA Army National Guard for continued employment.
