Position Overview

Thomas Cuisine is seeking a Bartender for a distinguished senior living community in Southlake, Texas.

We are in search of bartenders who prioritize hospitality and possess outstanding customer service abilities to foster connections with residents and guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages promptly and accurately, adhering to recipe guidelines, and ensuring a consistent presentation with fresh garnishes.

Compensation: $15+/hr DOE

Work Schedule: Days and shifts may vary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, family members, and visitors.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Execute opening and closing duties as per established standards.
  • Prepare and present drinks for residents and guests, accurately recording orders.
  • Utilize the point of sale system to document food and beverage transactions.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including daily specials and desserts.
  • Provide attentive service, focusing on the needs of residents and guests.
  • Clear and clean tables after use, returning dishes and glasses for washing.
  • Ensure all glassware is washed and maintain a sanitary environment in compliance with local health regulations.
  • Adhere to the policy regarding serving drinks to associates on the floor.
  • Conduct daily beverage inventory and manage requisitions to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Monitor residents and guests for signs of intoxication and report findings to the supervisor.
  • Keep the supervisor informed of any issues requiring attention.
  • Comply with all local liquor laws and health regulations.
  • Complete all side work before leaving and ensure restocking and cleaning are performed at the end of the shift.
  • Maintain records in accordance with company policy and participate in ongoing training.
  • Follow emergency procedures and safety practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous bartending experience is necessary.
  • ServSafe & TIPS or similar alcohol training certification is preferred.
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working with seniors.
  • Familiarity with point of sale systems is advantageous.
  • Able to cultivate positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and managing workplace challenges.
  • Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Skilled in listening and addressing concerns raised by residents and guests.
  • Criminal background checks and drug screening are mandatory.
