Candidates will implement advanced statistical techniques on diverse datasets, utilizing Quantlab's premier research and trading infrastructure within a dynamic, informal, and intellectually stimulating setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and evaluate market data to identify patterns, correlations, and insights into global markets
  • Leverage findings to develop forecasts and trading signals through statistical and machine learning analysis
  • Perform research to enhance and optimize monetization systems for trading signals
  • Engage in extensive collaboration within and across various teams
Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or another highly quantitative discipline
  • Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and modeling skills
  • Proven experience in conducting high-quality quantitative research
  • Experience modeling large and complex real-world datasets (in any domain)
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or MATLAB
  • Self-driven and highly productive, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the industry (e.g., research in cross-sectional micro/macro structure in Equities/Futures, daily/multiday trading strategies, alternative data)
  • A track record of initiating innovative research, familiar with top-tier research environments
  • Understanding of the underlying principles of specific trading strategies
  • Practical experience in applying, diagnosing, and modifying machine learning algorithms with real data, demonstrated in previous roles or data science competitions
  • History of peer-reviewed publications
