Job Description

The Release Train Engineer is a key role in our Agile Release Train, responsible for facilitating ART events, supporting PI execution, and optimizing flow. This position requires strong communication and organizational change management skills, with experience in delivery functions at large organizations or Fortune 500 companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Scrum and/or Kanban teams in PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and other Agile Ceremonies of low to moderate complexity.
  • Responsible for delivering results of projects in terms of predictability of delivery, productivity improvement, schedule and delivery of commitments, and quality.
  • Ensure data maintained in Agile Tools is consistent across ARTs to support enterprise-wide requirements.
  • Responsible for relevant budgeting and oversight of capital and non-capital expenditure within their ART.
  • Ensure Truist Agile TDLC, Truist Agile Framework, and Risk Framework are appropriately followed.
  • Active participant of the Agile RTE Community of Practice.
  • Coordinate with other Release Train Engineers for cross ART dependencies and Road Map Reviews.
  • Work with Scrum masters in a consultant model, helping the teams embrace an agile mindset, leverage Agile and its events, roles, and artifacts to reach greater success.
Qualifications
  • College degree in a related field of study or equivalent education and related training or experience.
  • Minimum of five years Program Management experience and/or five years of experience as a Scrum Master, including experience with PI Planning and Execution.
  • SAFe Agilist Certification.
  • Strong knowledge of and background with Agile concepts.
  • Strong communication and organizational change management experience.
  • Experience in delivery function at large organizations or Fortune 500 companies.
  • SAFe RTE Certified.
Working Conditions

This role requires sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional travel. The ability to access and interpret client information received from the computer and to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone is also required.
