Sonographer Senior

We are seeking a highly skilled Sonographer Senior to join our team at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper. As a key member of our radiology department, you will work closely with radiologists to obtain high-quality ultrasound images and provide exceptional patient care.

• Ensure patient safety and comfort while in the radiology department.
• Explain procedures and post-procedure orders to patients to gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
• Prioritize workflow based on patient condition and ensure timely arrival and departure.
• Provide a conducive atmosphere to gain patient cooperation and confidence.
• Utilize patient satisfaction and practice performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and participate in planning and improvement processes.

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3 years of experience required; 5 years preferred.
• Sonography Certification in 3 body parts required.

The Sonographer Senior will work in a fast-paced environment, standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, and reaching overhead, extensively, and repetitively. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are required, as well as attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. May be exposed to radiation.
