Role Summary:

You will report directly to the Accounting Manager, providing a unique opportunity for seasoned professionals to contribute to a dynamic and expanding organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties:


1. Ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes, including thorough reviews of Balance Sheet reconciliations and Profit & Loss Statements.


2. Conduct detailed analyses of income statements for individual business units, delivering insights and performance commentary to senior management.


3. Review and validate complex journal entries, including allocations, accruals, payroll, and intercompany transactions.


4. Act as the primary liaison for operational leaders within the Kodiak network, ensuring that all accounting and reporting requirements are met effectively.


5. Support the training and development of accounting personnel to foster a culture of commitment and excellence within the team.


6. Contribute to the enhancement of internal policies and procedures to uphold compliance and integrity within the organization.


7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes.


8. Occasional travel may be required (up to 15%).

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred.
2. Previous supervisory or management experience is advantageous.
3. Strong grasp of accounting principles and GAAP, with the ability to conduct necessary research.
4. Experience in the building, distribution, or real estate sectors is preferred.
5. Detail-oriented with a technical mindset.
6. Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
7. Strong research and reconciliation skills are essential.
8. Familiarity with new financial accounting systems is beneficial.
9. Exposure to multi-company organizations is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Annual salary range of $80,000-$95,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parental leave, disability insurance, 401(k) plan, paid gym membership, and eligibility for bonuses.
