Job Summary

The Senior Airworthiness Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and airworthiness of aircraft and components. This role requires a strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and the ability to inspect and review maintenance documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality control inspections on aircraft and components to ensure compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Review and approve maintenance documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with technicians and leads to ensure effective documentation and quality control processes.
  • Monitor repair station compliance with FAR Part 145 and the FAA accepted site Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.
  • Assist in training and mentoring of Airworthiness Inspectors and technicians.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6 years of aircraft/component inspection experience, including 3 years on large or mid-size aircraft.
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading, use/interpretation of Maintenance Manuals, test specifications, and other inspection-related documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and minimum 20 WPM typing speed.
