Position Overview: The Barber and/or Master Barber is responsible for delivering exceptional hair and beard grooming services to clients. This role requires a thorough understanding of sanitation protocols, as well as the ability to maintain a clean and sterile workspace at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional hair grooming services tailored to each client's needs.
  • Adhere to strict sanitation and sterilization standards as mandated by law and company policies.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of membership programs and recommend suitable retail products for at-home care.
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere for clients upon their arrival.
  • Ensure the grooming area is clean and organized, stocking supplies according to operational standards.
  • Promote and upsell products and services to enhance client experience.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the salon.
  • Participate in the laundering and folding of linens used in the salon.
  • Arrive prior to the start of shifts to prepare adequately for the day.
  • Engage in continuous learning about product lines through training sessions and promotional events.
  • Support management in various operational tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Availability for full-time (minimum 35 hours per week) or part-time flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic salon environment.
  • Maintain professional grooming tools in optimal condition.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
  • A minimum of one year of professional barbering experience is required; Master Barbers should have at least five years of experience or hold an MB license.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with clients, perform grooming services, and maintain a clean work area. The role requires the ability to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds and possess visual acuity for detailed work.
