Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator to enhance our operations. This role involves working in a collaborative environment focused on innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigating and evaluating new software and hardware to fulfill organizational requirements.
  • Deploying new software/hardware (installation and configuration) within a resilient environment.
  • Responding promptly to system failures and outages.
  • Conducting thorough analyses of outage causes and proposing effective solutions.
  • Emphasizing a security-first approach, ensuring that security principles guide all system modifications and decisions.
  • Providing Tier 2 technical support as necessary.
  • Mentoring and training junior staff members.
  • Overseeing patch management, including automation, reporting, and compliance tools.
  • Acting as a resource for development and business teams to optimize the use of software/hardware/cloud solutions.
  • Creating tools and systems to monitor IT infrastructure proactively to prevent outages.
  • Assessing existing software/hardware to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Researching and demonstrating new software/hardware to provide informed recommendations.


Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a technical support capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of either VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
  • A proven history of executing and completing intricate IT projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Eligibility for a State of California Alarm Company Employee Permit, which includes a criminal history review.
