Job Summary

Answers in Genesis Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Safety Officer to join our team at the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY. As a Public Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our properties, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of safety and security throughout the organization
  • Conduct regular security patrols of all ministry properties
  • Operate and maintain all security equipment, including alarm systems and emergency response systems
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with external agencies, including law enforcement and emergency response teams
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety and security procedures
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide medical care as needed
  • Conduct incident investigations and complete reports
  • Stay up-to-date on all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
Requirements
  • Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith
  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Regular attendance at a local Bible-believing church
  • Submit all required paperwork to the Human Resources Department
  • Experience in law enforcement or public safety/security related industry
  • Successfully complete initial fitness requirements and maintain them throughout employment
  • Successfully complete initial firearm qualifications and maintain them throughout employment
  • Successfully pass drug screening
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate Certificate or Associate's Degree in a security or public safety related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in law enforcement, military or private security
