Job Summary

The Auto Body Estimator is responsible for accurately assessing and estimating the cost of repairs to damaged vehicles. This involves inspecting the damage, determining the cost of labor and parts, and preparing detailed estimates for insurance companies and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of the damage.
  • Estimate the cost of labor and parts required to repair or replace damaged items.
  • Prepare and present accurate estimates to insurance companies and customers.
  • Negotiate with insurance companies to ensure fair and accurate estimates are paid.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest auto body repair procedures and technologies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers and insurance representatives.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in auto body estimating.
  • Strong understanding of auto body repair procedures and technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to dust and chemicals. The Auto Body Estimator must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
