Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Information Technology to lead our IT department and drive technological innovation in the Town of Leesburg, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IT strategies to support business objectives and drive digital transformation.
  • Lead a team of IT professionals in managing and maintaining IT systems, infrastructure, and applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage IT budgets and resources to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in managing IT operations.
  • Proven track record of leading IT teams and driving technological innovation.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and applications, including MUNIS enterprise resource planning system.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • ITIL certification and industry-recognized certifications such as PMP, CGCIO, or CISM.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in managing local government IT projects and operations.
What We Offer

The Town of Leesburg, VA offers a competitive salary range of $175,000 - $218,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
