Job Summary

Shelby Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Acute Medical Unit team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct clinical patient care, assessing, planning, and implementing care to assigned patients on a per shift basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing patient needs and safety
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring effective care delivery
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing

Education:

  • Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing or an accredited school
  • Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's degree)

Certifications:

  • Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice the profession as required by law, regulation, or policy
  • CPR certification
