Position Summary
  • The Physical Therapist at Cox Barton County Hospital will engage in a diverse range of practices, offering competitive remuneration and a nurturing work atmosphere. This role is pivotal in enhancing patient outcomes while fostering strong relationships within a close-knit community.
  • The Physical Therapist will assess patients to identify physical limitations stemming from injuries or illnesses and will create a tailored care plan utilizing various treatment modalities aimed at improving mobility, alleviating pain, and promoting tissue recovery, with the ultimate goal of enhancing functionality and preventing disability. The patient demographic will primarily include outpatient orthopedic, geriatric, neurologic, and sports therapy cases.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • Required: Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program
    • Preferred: Advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) from an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Experience
    • No prior experience necessary
  • Skills
    • Strong clinical expertise, effective communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational abilities are essential.
    • Self-driven individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
    • Demonstrated commitment to professional development through participation in continuing education and application of new techniques.
  • Licensure/Certification
    • Required: Valid Missouri Physical Therapy license
    • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment
