Responsible for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care, which includes direct patient care, education for patients and families, and management of care transitions in an acute care environment.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years of clinical nursing practice - required
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:
2 years of recent OB/PP experience preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Demonstrated knowledge and competence in nursing theories, concepts, and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology.
Familiarity with the healthcare industry, safety policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize patient care, assignments, and work within established policies, procedures, and practices to achieve objectives and meet time-sensitive tasks.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, while managing multiple interventions in a dynamic environment.
Capability to communicate and engage with team members, patients, and families in various stressful situations.
Utilize existing procedures and critical thinking to identify and resolve routine or complex issues.
Ensure the confidentiality of each patient's protected health information (PHI).
Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and other healthcare providers to meet departmental and organizational goals.
Prioritize tasks and operate within established policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

This position may involve regular handling, preparation, transportation, or administration of drugs identified as hazardous by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for compliance with USP 800.
Pay Range is $70.70 to $93.82 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary based on location and other factors.
Compensation considers several elements including a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
Base pay is one component of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles may also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
