Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Mohs Micrographic Surgery: Conduct precise and minimally invasive procedures to remove skin cancer lesions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Preoperative Consultations: Evaluate patients, review medical history, and discuss treatment options to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Histopathology Interpretation: Analyze tissue specimens to confirm complete removal of cancerous tissue during surgery.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with dermatopathologists to ensure timely processing and analysis of tissue specimens, and provide clear communication to patients and their families.
  • Postoperative Care: Provide comprehensive follow-up appointments to monitor patient recovery and outcomes, and educate patients on skin cancer prevention and treatment options.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans for complex cases, ensuring optimal patient care.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Board Certification: Board certification or eligibility in dermatology and/or Mohs surgery is required.
  • Education and Training: Completion of an accredited Mohs surgery fellowship program is essential.
